The Peach Festival

Every May, a farm in our community has a peach festival, and we discovered it this year! I guess there is always something wonderful to discover in your neighborhood :)
In addition to a "You Pick" peach orchard, they had a "You Pick" garden, hay rides, kettle corn (a main food group in my book) and a loads of other exciting festival attractions.
Don't forget your sunscreen!

Nautical Fever

Do you have nautical fever? Talk to your Doctor if the
Mainstay By Me Clutch is right for you. Side effects may include:
Sudden bursts of sailor tunes, the need to dance a jig and the sensation that you are a pirate. If side effects persist, you may need to purchase an accompanying blazer.

Have a fantastic day!

A Cactus Dress and Moccasins

Happy Wednesday everyone!
Spring has sprung! And so has our love for cacti.
Cacti are rather odd plants, with their needles and interesting choice of habitat (gosh cacti, showing us up with you lack of air conditioning) but never the less, we find them pleasantly unique and quite adorable! Just remember not to use one as a chair,
bad idea.
COMING SOON: a fancy DIY post on how to pick, pot, and preserve a cactus! It will be quite entertaining.

May The 4th Be With You

May The 4th Be With You!!!
Written by Ian Doescher, these hilarious volumes put Star Wars
in a more Tudor setting. Shakespearean if you will.
In the set you will find: "William Shakespeare's Star Wars"
"The Empire Striketh Back" and "The Jedi Doth Return".
Lulu and I have had quite a laugh, Doescher preserves the true force of the Star Wars classics, but with an interesting twist!
Amazon
Weezie may look like an Ewock of sorts, but she is constantly on the hunt for power. Perhaps this "Mr. Potato Head Darth Vader" helmet will help her on her journey to the dark side.
This picture (shot on our Mom's prehistoric flip phone)
was taken when Darth Weezie was but a young Padawan.

Sounds Like a Party to Me!

Peafowl look like they belong in a fantasy. With their elegant plume and proud gait, you would suppose that they owned the place.
Did you know that a group of Peafowl (peacocks and peahens)
is called a party? Sign me up! Sounds like a party to me!

Make Way for the Panda

Oh my goodness.
Have you ever seen something so cute that you have to catch your breath, sit down and squeal all at the same time?
No, this is not a sponsored post, but it is an obituary of all other hand creams, eye creams and lip-balms we have ever bought.
R.I.P boring lotions, make way for the panda.

We musn't forget to mention how they smell!
- DIVINE -
The peaches, apple and pear all smell like their inspirations.
The panda on the other hand, (get it? Hand cream) he smells like a combination of vanilla with a subtle fruity tang.

I just discovered that the previous owner of this vintage camera bag, penned her name and address on the inside! How cool!
Nothing is more exciting than to imagine what sort of adventures a vintage item has been through, as specially a camera bag.
